History of Culligan-Woodland
Culligan-Woodland has served the water quality improvement needs of the Yolo county area since 1946.
The Woodland franchise has upheld the Culligan tradition by providing services ranging from simple residential water conditioning, to meeting complex medical requirements; from simple commercial applications for restaurants and motels, to the most sophisticated custom industrial designs for the Electronics and Bio-Tech industries, as well as small municipal systems.
Culligan-Woodland provides by far the broadest range of equipment, service and expertise in the greater Yolo County area.
Throughout the years, the water conditioning operations have aggressively grown and expanded into virtually all areas of residential, commercial, industrial and municipal water quality improvement applications.
The Culligan-Woodland Franchise was acquired in 1990 by Don, Julie and Mark Felton. The Felton’s were already Culligan Dealers, having bought the Culligan-Bakersfield in 1963 and Culligan-Sacramento in 1967.
Pam Robles began working in the Culligan Woodland office in 1971 and today serves as the Branch Manager.
Don and Julie’s son, Mark, began working in the family Culligan business in 1974. Mark worked five summers during his school and college years, and began fulltime in 1980. Mark currently serves as Vice President and as an owner.
In 1992, the Culligan territory covering the Grass Valley and Nevada City area was acquired. Currently, this area is being served from our Sacramento facility.
The Culligan-Bakersfield dealership was sold in October 2002 in order to consolidate all operations in Northern California, and to stop the long I-5 commute. In December 2002, the Culligan Yuba City Dealership was acquired and currently is being served from our Sacramento facility.
Historically, the Felton franchises have been recognized to be rated among the top Culligan dealers in the country by the Culligan Circle of Excellence Dealership Recognition Program.
